Abstract
ⶠThe E. granulosus laminated layer is easily disassembled after disulphide reduction. ⶠGalactose-specific lectins are good probes for the laminated layer constituent mucins. ⶠAgarose electrophoresis is an appropriate technique for visualizing these mucins. ⶠA substantial part of the mucins appears to have cationic polypeptide backbones.
