Abstract
⺠ETEC infection of intestinal cells in vitro induced innate immune response gene expression. ⺠Treatment with zinc oxide regulated this increase in expression. ⺠It is proposed that this occurs via inhibition of NF-κB by zinc, via heat shock proteins.
