Abstract
												⺠During the Coolidge effect males show behavioral intromission and ejaculation. ⺠During the Coolidge effect males do not expel semen. ⺠During the Coolidge effect males dislodge prior seminal plugs. ⺠The sexually satiated male is a potential copulating rival to other males. ⺠The sexually satiated male loses the ability to fertilize, but not to re-mate.
