Abstract
⺠We tested associations between weight-related eating behaviors and objective measures of total and abdominal adiposities. ⺠Visceral and subcutaneous abdominal adipose was measured by using DXA and MRI. ⺠External eating is associated with subcutaneous abdominal adiposity. ⺠External eating was positively associated with higher BMI, DXA total fat mass, and MRI abdominal subcutaneous fat. Routine dietary restraint was positively associated with visceral abdominal adiposity. ⺠Different weight-related eating behaviors were associated with depot-specific adiposities.
