Abstract
⺠Rodents eat more diet to compensate for the substitution of olestra for dietary fat. ⺠Humans in general do not completely compensate for the inclusion of olestra in the diet. ⺠There is no evidence at all that dietary olestra increases total energy consumption in humans.
