Abstract
⺠Maxipost and R-Maxipost act as +/â modulators on BK (KCa1.1) and Kv7.1 channels. ⺠Potassium channel dysfunction may underlie hyperactive CNS disorders and tinnitus. ⺠High doses of salicylate produced behavior consistent with the presence of tinnitus. ⺠Maxipost and R-Maxipost reversal of salicylate induced tinnitus is dose dependent. ⺠Maxipost and R-Maxipost may reduce tinnitus by modulating potassium channels.
