Abstract
► Alzheimer's disease is characterized by deficits in social communication and memory. ► Mutants failed to habituate and were hyperactive relative to non-transgenic. ► APP/PS1 mice were deficient in sociability and social memory. ► The 3-chamber test is useful in evaluating social anomalies in mouse models of AD. ► This new social paradigm, can be used to test the efficacy of experimental therapies.
