Abstract
⺠Few test of emotionality have been well validated for assessing the welfare of pigs. ⺠Pig open field behaviour is sensitive to pharmacological (Azaperone), social, and novelty manipulations. ⺠The open field can be useful for making assessments of both pig emotionality and of their and welfare.
