Abstract
⺠Direct social and sexual contact increases the CORT concentration in female quail. ⺠Indirect male encounter does not increase the CORT concentration. ⺠CORT concentrations are negatively related to female size. ⺠Previous mating experience does not affect the CORT response to sexual interaction.
