Abstract
⺠We investigated effects of maternal separation on gut permeability and behavior. ⺠Permeability increased in prolonged separated rats combined with adult stress. ⺠Long separation gave lower activity, and corticosterone was elevated. ⺠Corticosterone was lowered in separated offspring exposed to adult social stress.
