Abstract
⺠Detection threshold procedure showed L-AP4 taste thresholds at 0.0009-0.0019 mM. ⺠CTA tests also showed higher sensitivity to L-AP4, MSG, or MPG. ⺠Behavioral response to mGluR agonist was suppressed by antagonist for mGluR 4 or 1. ⺠Our results suggest that brain-expressed mGluR 4 and 1 contribute to umami reception.
