Abstract
► Whole grain rye porridge increases satiety compared to iso-caloric sifted wheat bread. ► Satiating effects persist after repeated daily consumption. ► The satiating capacity of test foods was not explained by orocecal passage time. ► Whole grain rye porridge induced high levels of gut fermentation 4-8 h after intake. ► High levels of gut fermentation did not co-occur with altered satiety.
