Abstract
⺠Whole grain rye porridge increases satiety compared to iso-caloric sifted wheat bread. ⺠Satiating effects persist after repeated daily consumption. ⺠The satiating capacity of test foods was not explained by orocecal passage time. ⺠Whole grain rye porridge induced high levels of gut fermentation 4-8 h after intake. ⺠High levels of gut fermentation did not co-occur with altered satiety.
