Abstract
⺠Prenatal vitamin D deficiency was associated with altered pup-retrieval behaviour. ⺠DVD-deficient dams retrieved their pups sooner than control dams. ⺠There were no effects of maternal diet on isolation-induced ultrasonic vocalizations. ⺠DVD-deficient dams and pups had lower vitamin D levels but normal calcium levels.
