Abstract
⺠Breakfast consumption and cognitive function in adolescents was examined. ⺠Breakfast enhanced accuracy on the Visual Search and Stroop tests. ⺠Breakfast enhanced response times on the complex levels of the Sternberg paradigm. ⺠Breakfast also enhanced mood and resulted in higher blood glucose concentrations. ⺠Breakfast consumption enhances cognitive function compared to breakfast omission.
