⺠Increased levels of homocysteine and cathepsin G in lung tissue of diabetic rats. ⺠Decreased plasma serine protease activity in diabetic rats. ⺠Significant alteration of tissue structures in lung. ⺠Vitamin E decreased chemical and structural alterations in lung tissue of rats.
