Abstract
⺠Chronic intermittent hypoxia (CIH) enhances chemosensory hypoxic response by unknown mechanisms. ⺠CIH enhanced glomus cells hypoxic responses due to a large and fast inhibition of TASK-like channels. ⺠This novel effect of CIH may partly explain the enhancing effect of CIH on CB oxygen chemoreception.
