Abstract
⺠Both exogenous and endogenous CO could activate BKCa channels in RVLM neurons. ⺠Blocking BKCa channels could partially abolish rhythmic respiratory effects induced by CO. ⺠BKCa channels were involved in CO-mediated central regulation of respiratory rhythm in medullary slices of neonatal rats.
