Abstract
⺠Pulmonary arterial hypertension plays a major role in high altitude pulmonary edema. ⺠We measured pulmonary systolic pressure in susceptible and resistant subjects to HAPE. ⺠No overlap in pulmonary systolic pressure was observed between the 2 groups. ⺠Pulmonary systolic pressure during a hypoxic exercise challenge may predict HAPE.
