Abstract
Although longer term data are needed to understand the impact of the addition of 0Â +Â 5 graduating residents to the vascular surgery work force, preliminary survey results suggest that both training paradigms (0Â +Â 5 and 5Â +Â 2) provide positive training experiences that result in excellent job search experiences. Based on the current and future need for vascular surgeons in the work force, the continued growth and expansion of integrated 0Â +Â 5 vascular surgery residency positions as an alternative to traditional fellowship training is thus far justified.
