Abstract
⺠Serum LDL-C concentrations were reduced after plant sterol and stanol consumption. ⺠Plant sterol consumption did not change plasma oxyphytosterol concentrations. ⺠Plant stanol consumption reduced 7β-OH-campesterol concentrations. ⺠When standardized for serum cholesterol, effects on oxyphytosterols were comparable.
