Abstract
⺠Statins inhibit macrophage FABP4 expression by reducing cellular cholesterol levels. ⺠Dexamethasone induces macrophage FABP4 expression by activating pGRE in the gene. ⺠However, statins synergize dexamethasone-induced FABP4 expression. ⺠The synergistic induction is completed by enhancing GR translocation and inhibiting nGRE.
