Abstract
⺠Diastolic dysfunction is frequent and increases mortality [1]. ⺠Pre-clinical data suggest that statins improve diastolic function. ⺠In this randomized controlled trial, the addition of simvastatin to enalapril in hypertensive patients improves parameters of diastolic function.
