Abstract
⺠We compared ezetimibe add-on to statin effects on lipids/non-cholesterol sterols. ⺠High-potency statin group (HPS) had lowest lathosterol/highest sitosterol at baseline. ⺠HPS + ezetimibe had the greatest absorption reduction/smallest synthesis increase. ⺠LDL-C lowering was similar for ezetimibe add-on to low-/medium-/high-potency statins. ⺠Results highlight complementary effect of statin + ezetimibe on synthesis/absorption.
