Abstract
⺠Retinal microvascular abnormalities are common, yet few long-term predictors exist. ⺠Modest and sustained elevations in SBP and glucose were associated with retinopathy. ⺠Results observed in participants with SBP and glucose below treatment thresholds. ⺠Effects underscore need for population-wide approaches to lower glucose and SBP.
