Abstract
⺠The potential atherogenic effect of LCHP diet in apoE/LDLRâ/â mice was studied. ⺠The LCHP-fed mice developed more extensive atherosclerosis than WD-fed mice. ⺠LCHP diet favors the development of unstable lesions in mice. ⺠LCHP diet increased inflammatory component and decreased collagen content in plaque.
