Abstract
- A new family of Se-functionalized 45S5Bioglass®-based scaffolds was synthesized.
- 45S5Bioglass®-based scaffolds were coated by SeNp or by PLGA with immobilized SeNp.
- Uniform distribution of spherical SeNps and interconnected porosity were achieved.
- Considerable antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus bacteria was exhibited.
- As per obtained data, unique combination of desirable properties in one device is expected.
