Abstract
- A novel DNA-condensation strategy was developed to study DNA adsorption on amino-modified silica-coated magnetic nanoparticles (ASMNPs).
- Condensation agents (e.g., PEG/NaCl) can induce DNA conformation change and prompt DNA adsorption on ASMNPs.
- Maximum adsorption capacity of ASMNPs for condensed DNA is higher than that for elongated DNA.
- Practical application for plasmid DNA isolation confirmed the reliability of this method.
