Abstract
- The composition of resveratrol (RES) nanoparticles (NPs) was optimized by Box-Behknken design.
- The optimal NPs had average diameter of 135Â nm and an encapsulation efficiency of 99.8%.
- Trehalose (>15%) was the most effective sugar for NPs stabilization during freeze drying.
- The blank NPs were not cytotoxic at lower concentrations (<600 µg/mL).
- Cell viability was significantly decreased at higher native RES concentrations (>50 µM).
