Abstract
- A simple and direct one-step methodology to prepare silver nanoparticles by using β-cyclodextrin as a stabilizer is described.
- The morphological study of the β-cyclodextrin layer surrounding the silver nanoparticles was investigated by TEM-ESI and electron tomography.
- The silver nanoparticles showed a mean size of 28.0 nm and an average layer thickness of 7 nm, assigned to β-cyclodextrin.
- β-Cyclodextrin-coated silver nanoparticles showed high antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli strain.
