Abstract
⺠ZnO particles from micron to nano-size were prepared using a PVA, PVP and PGA agents. ⺠Antibacterial properties of the prepared and commercial ZnO powders were studied. ⺠Particle size and morphology greatly affects the antibacterial activities of ZnO. ⺠Increase in the SSA of the powders enhances their antibacterial activity. ⺠Nanospherical ZnO particles show the highest antibacterial activity.
