Abstract
⺠The adsorption mechanism of titanium-binding ferritin (TBF) and the requirements for the selective adsorption of TBF were studied. ⺠TBF adsorbs on amphoteric oxide substrates, TiOX, ZrO2, and Fe2O3, independent of the constituent elements of the substrate. ⺠The charged amino acids of a titanium-binding peptide (TBP) interact with the local charge of the substrate for adsorption. ⺠TBF adsorbs selectivity on amphoteric oxide patterned on SiO2 substrates with TWEEN20.
