Abstract
⺠Unexpected thermal behavior for fatty alcohols and fluorinated alcohols is exhibited. ⺠A series of partially fluorinated alcohols has been newly synthesized. ⺠Phase transitions in monolayers show irregular sensitivity to temperature.
