Abstract
⺠Intermembrane lipid exchange is mediated via hemifusion structure. ⺠Exchange rate increases with membrane curvature and charge/fluid composition ratio. ⺠Vesicles adsorb and desorb simultaneously during lipid exchange. ⺠Max membrane contact is controlled by vesicle adsorption rate and exchange rate.
