Abstract
► Epileptic discharges (EDs) in superficial layers were induced with penicillin G. ► Focal brain cooling preferentially terminated the faster frequency components of EDs. ► Frequency analysis demonstrated that cooling below 25 °C may be an effective treatment for epilepsy.
