Abstract
⺠Adsorption of CHX on HA was modeled by a combination of Languimir and Langmuir-Freundlich mechanisms. ⺠Long-range molecular structures, such as aggregates or micelles, started to form at low CHX concentrations and predominated at high concentrations. ⺠HA/CHX interaction did not block the active sites of the antimicrobial agent. ⺠Cell viability studies showed that HA/CHX did not present significant in vitro cytotoxicity.
