Abstract
⺠The study was focused on the use of laccase purified from a newly isolated ascomycete, Paraconiothyrium variabile, for synthesis of gold nanoparticles. ⺠Catalytic activity of the purified laccase is not responsible for production of nanostructures. ⺠The properties of produced nanoparticles were characterized using UV-Vis spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX).
