Abstract
⺠Biosurfactant was produced by heavy metal tolerant strain Bacillus cereus NK1. ⺠The biosurfactant showed potent antimicrobial and anti-adhesive activity. ⺠Its activity was highly stable at extremes of pH, temperature and NaCl concentration. ⺠The critical micelle concentration of the biosurfactant was 45 mg/l.
