Abstract
⺠Hydroxyapatite containing β-cyclodextrin were produced by co-precipitation method. ⺠Increase in hydrophobicity seems to promote an affinity for specific protein adsorption. ⺠As the amount of β-cyclodextrin increases the amount of albumin adsorbed also increases. ⺠Blood compatibility and hemolytic index was evaluated. ⺠The H2 sample shows around 40% increase in albumin adsorption.
