Abstract
⺠We examine insomnia symptoms in US veterans with epilepsy. ⺠Forty percent of veterans with epilepsy had insomnia symptoms. ⺠Insomnia was associated with psychiatric diagnoses, lamotrigine, and post-traumatic epilepsy. ⺠Female gender and levetiracetam treatment were protective for insomnia. ⺠Screening for insomnia should be part of routine epilepsy care.
