Abstract
⺠There was a correlation between psychological care and attitudes toward illness. ⺠More than half of the patients received a few explanations by a doctor or a nurse. ⺠There is no evidence for routine psychological consultation for our sample. ⺠Better psychosocial care and explanations are associated with more positive attitudes.
