Abstract
⺠We examined melatonin (MLT) system in children and adolescents with epilepsy. ⺠Circadian rhythm of MLT system was preserved in children with epilepsy. ⺠Subgroup of children with epilepsy had very high nocturnal salivary MLT peaks. ⺠MLT concentrations had no relation to seizure characteristics. ⺠Findings raise question of the nature of relation between the MLT and epilepsy.
