Abstract
⺠Patient populations getting brand and generic antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) are varied. ⺠Older patients have statistically increased odds of receiving a generic AED. ⺠Patients on Medicaid have 2.44 times the odds of receiving a generic AED. ⺠Insurance plan and region of residence influence the odds of getting a generic AED. ⺠These differences represent important confounders for future studies in the field.
