Abstract
⺠Temporal lobe epilepsy can be grouped into mesial or posterior temporal lobe epilepsy. ⺠We characterized the seizures in mesial and posterior temporal lobe epilepsy. ⺠The seizure manifestations were compared and used to identify the epileptogenic zone. ⺠The limbic system explains the symptomatogenic zone of mesial temporal lobe epilepsy. ⺠The neocortex explains the symptomatogenic zones of posterior temporal lobe epilepsy.
