Abstract
⺠Hypothalamic hamartoma (HH) may be associated with a catastrophic epilepsy. ⺠Epileptogenicity of HH is due to GABAergic, spontaneously firing neurons. ⺠Surgical ablation of HH or radiosurgery can reverse encephalopathy. ⺠We review the topic of gelastic seizures-hypothalamic hamartoma.
