Abstract
⺠Risks associated with first remission in a long-term population-based study were: ⺠40% of patients with first-ever 5-year-remission face relapse, and ⺠14% fail to respond after relapse. Cognitive impairment predicted relapse. ⺠30% face premature retirement. Predictors include relapse and symptomatic epilepsy.
