Abstract
⺠Long-term cognitive outcome was examined in patients who had undergone epilepsy surgery. ⺠Progressive decline in memory function is associated with poor surgical outcome. ⺠This pattern is obscured in analyses that do not consider baseline levels of function. ⺠Stable memory function over time can simply represent scores close to the test floor.
