Abstract
⺠Cognitive performance was compared within nonepileptic seizure (NES) subgroups and between NES and epilepsy patients. ⺠Patients with more dramatic nonepileptic seizure semiology had lower cognitive scores. ⺠The temporal lobe epilepsy group and the most dramatic nonepileptic seizure group had similar cognitive scores. ⺠The least dramatic nonepileptic seizure semiological group cognitively outperformed the temporal lobe epilepsy group. ⺠Cognitive status varies as a function of nonepileptic seizure semiology and can differ from that in temporal lobe epilepsy.
