Abstract
⺠Cognitive impairment in multiple domains is evident in most patients with temporal lobe epilepsy. ⺠Age at seizure onset is the strongest predictor of intellectual impairment. ⺠Seizure frequency and number of antiepileptic drugs used significantly predict cognitive deficits. ⺠Epilepsy duration is a less potent predictor of cognitive deficits.
