Abstract
⺠In tuberous sclerosis complex, an increased risk of developing epilepsy is present very early in life. ⺠Today the diagnosis of tuberous sclerosis complex can be made before seizure onset. ⺠In this retrospective study, 23 subjects received early treatment with vigabatrin. ⺠Early seizure control in children with tuberous sclerosis complex could prevent epileptic encephalopathy. ⺠Seizure cessation is associated with improvement in behavioral and cognitive long-term outcome.
