Abstract
⺠The effects of deep brain stimulation (DBS) on cognitive functioning is studied in patients with refractory temporal lobe epilepsy. ⺠Intellectual and neuropsychological evaluation revealed only minor cognitive consequences of DBS. ⺠DBS is a valuable treatment alternative for patients with refractory epilepsy.
